Biography
William Whitmore was brought in at Bridgnorth by his elder brother, Thomas Whitmore. Like his brother one of Lord Powis’s group of Shropshire Whigs, he voted with the Government. He did not stand in 1747, but succeeded Thomas Whitmore at Bridgnorth in 1754. He died 22 July 1771.
