b. 1536/7, 1st s. of William Paget, 1st Lord Paget of Beaudesert by Anne, da. of Henry Preston of Preston, Lancs. educ. travelled, France, Italy. m. 20 May 1567, Catherine (d.1622), da. of Sir Henry Knyvet of East Horsley, Surr., 1da. KB 29 Sept. 1553; suc. fa. as 2nd Lord Paget 9 June 1563.

Paget was twice returned for Lichfield by his father, to whom the borough owed its re-enfranchisement in 1547. He took his seat in the Lords on the opening day of the 1566 session, 30 Sept., but no record has been found of a by-election at Lichfield. He died 28 Dec. 1568, having made his will, ‘diseased in body’, on 27 Nov.
