Biography
C219/8/12, 12/3. It is quite likely that more than one William atte Pury represented Portsmouth between 1390 and 1417: as early as May 1374 a man of this name witnessed a conveyance in the town (E326/2935), and the period between the two Pury bailiffships was as long as 33 years. But there is no evidence to confirm this supposed distinction.
