Biography
Described either as a butcher or as a fishmonger, Hervy appears in the record of every borough court held at Wallingford between 1375 and 1402, frequently acting as a juror at views of frankpledge. He himself was amerced many times for selling bad meat and fish, and also for charging excessive prices.2
