Daubeney was probably a local man, for John Hardy* and Henry Bont* stood surety for his attendance at the Parliament of November 1384, Thomas Cuttyng* and Thomas Moleyns* did him the same service in 1385, and Henry Bont again undertook that he would attend in 1386.
