Biography

Like his father, Fane pursued a military career, serving in the Peninsula. He was returned for the family borough of Lyme when Lord Burghersh vacated in 1816. He invariably supported administration without speaking in debate. He also voted against Catholic relief in 1816 and 1817. He died 23 Mar. 1833.
