Biography

Thomas Rowney’s father represented Oxford 1695-1722; father and son between them held one seat for 64 years without interruption. In 1754 Rowney was returned without opposition, and was classed in Dupplin’s list as a Tory. There is no record of his speaking or voting in this Parliament.  He died 27 Oct. 1759.
