Biography

In 1722 Bulstrode Peachey was returned unopposed for Midhurst, where he had bought burgages from the 6th Lord Montagu, the Roman Catholic lord of the manor, subsequently increasing his holding to 49 by further purchases from Montagu.2 In 1725 he consolidated his interest at Midhurst by marrying the widow of William Woodward Knight. His only recorded vote was for the Hessians in 1730. He died 14 Jan. 1736.
