Biography

Patrick Dunbar was returned for his county by John Sinclair of Ulbster, the hereditary sheriff, after a contest in 1727, voting with the Administration. He did not stand in 1734, was defeated at the next Caithness-shire election in 1741, and died 5 Apr. 1763.
