Biography

John Blagrave, a Tory like his father, took one of the Reading seats from the Whigs at a contested by-election in 1739, retaining it without opposition in 1741, after which he did not stand again. In Parliament he voted against the Administration in all recorded divisions. He died 9 Dec. 1787.
