Biography

Yarham was a grocer, apprenticed to John Sotherton, four of whose family sat in Elizabethan Parliaments, two for Norwich. George and Nowell Sotherton were in the 1593 Parliament. No record has been found of any participation by Yarham in the business of the House. In his will of 9 May 1595, proved by his widow, the executrix and residuary legatee, 6 Sept., he left bequests to several members of the Sotherton family, to the poor of Norwich, and to his servants.
