Biography

Prideaux was a lawyer who presumably owed his return for Helston to his maternal grandfather Sir John Arundell, the recorder. He died in January 1604, leaving his goods and a life interest in his estates to his ‘most dear’ wife, whom he appointed executrix. Both sons and the eldest daughter received £200 and the two younger daughters £160 each. The will was proved 3 Feb. 1604.
