Biography

Fisher was presumably returned for Clitheroe either through the influence of Walsingham or that of Sir Ralph Sadler, chancellor of the duchy of Lancaster. No record of any parliamentary activity by him has been found, and none of any marriage, children, or date of death. He was permitted to exercise his recordership of Maidstone by deputy. He was the author of a description of the courts of justice in England, the duties of their officers and their procedure, and at least once gave legal advice to Walsingham.
