Biography

In the 1558 Crown office list Cordell’s name has been substituted for that of Edward Bashe, the navy victualler, who may have withdrawn from pressure of business, leaving William Cordell, the 1558 Speaker, free to nominate his brother.3

Cordell died on 9 Jan. 1590.4
