Biography
Kela is mentioned as a parishioner of the newly consecrated church of St. Nicholas, Rochester, in December 1423.1
If it was the same Robert Kela who made his will on 20 Jan. 1461, more than 40 years after his return to Parliament, then he was buried in the bell tower of St. Nicholas’s church. That Robert’s widow, Joan, was to have his house in St. Clement’s Lane, together with the residue of his goods after certain small bequests had been fulfilled. He named John Soneman† of Rochester as overseer.2
