Biography

Esshing was fined in the hundred court of Arundel in 1427-8, for minor offences against local trading regulations.1 He was perhaps the father of Thomas Esshing†, who was to sit for Arundel in the Parliament of 1449 (Feb.), and to serve as mayor in 1454-5 and 1468-9.2
