Biography

A resident burgess of Bedwyn, Combe contributed 4d. — the lowest possible sum — to the poll tax levied there in 1379. His surety for attendance at the Parliament of November 1384 was John Brown, the earl of Stafford’s bailiff of Kinwardstone hundred, which included the borough of Bedwyn.
