Biography

Maurice was presumably related to Stephen† and Henry de la Chamber*, who sat for Warwick during the late 14th century, and like Henry he was engaged in the service of the earl of Warwick, the lord of the borough. By Michaelmas 1401 he had become a valet in the chamber of Earl Richard, as such earning an annual wage of 20s.
