Biography

Burgh was among those men of Maldon who were arrested at the suit of the bishop of London and Walter, Lord Fitzwalter, in 1401, for infringement of their rights as lords of the borough.2 He was active as a minor official in the town for over 20 years, but was not holding any post when returned to his only recorded Parliament.
